I saw them on the '91 tour at Edwards No.8 in Birmingham. It cost 4.50 and Moonshake were the support band. There was probably less than 50 watching. Afterwards we had a few drinks with the band.

I liked the early sets (1991- 1993) too, althought those sets were shorter.

I have to say that some of those early gigs were ruined by 'accidents' : synths that didn't work anymore, a loudspeaker that fell on someone's head ...

The last time I've seen them (Liegie) was really good.

Hyde Park a couple of years back.

The Cranes. The Cure. A hot summer's day and fireworks to round it all off.

It truly was!

To round it all off (after briefly getting lost in Hyde Park), I followed it with a meal at Bella Italia. Perfect!

Hyde Park was pretty nice. I passed out just before Cranes though and had to be revived with the free ice lollies. Flew over from a holiday in US for that show. Rolling Eyes

Hello again AVONLADY - Did you pass out from one to many sherries?!

Hyde park was gob smackingly good- Cranes AND the Cure on one day -
BLISS. Have to say the Cure set was "just like Heaven" all the dark old favourites - the really gnarly era like pornography and faith I was in my element - the best set I've ever seen them play - so dark -yummy -highlight - was the drowning mand and seeing Ali watching from the side of the stage - what a fab day that was.

I'd forgotten about the free lollies. I wasn't allowed into the seating area with mine in case I attacked someone with the lolly stick.

Wish I'd known some of you guys that went!
