What I'm currently listening too?
Just finished listening to these gems on my iPod;
1. My Bloody Valentine; "Sometimes"
2. Stina Nordenstam; "The End of a Love Affair"
3. Sonic Youth (w. Lydia Lunch); "Death Valley '69"
Both MBV and Sonic Youth numbers are treasures from my teenage years, whilst I can't wait for Stina's new album this year (I'm a bit of a completist with her, I'm afraid) - her albums get chronologically stronger and stronger, so the next one must be blummin' good.

Stina does have a lovely voice. I only have "And She Closed Her Eyes" right now but I think it's time for more. _________________

Listening to Douglas Heart's self titled album. Kind of a cross between Rosewater Elizabeth and Cranes. Dark, beautiful stuff and the singer's voice is the closest I've heard to sounding like Alison's. |

Ha! You just mentioned Rosewater Elizabeth. I'm a great fan from years ago and reflect on seeing them live! |

Wow someone who knows Rosewater Elizabeth! Lucky you getting to see them live! I didn't find out about them until several years after they'd split.

Just found this, and i'm new here, so i figured i'd participate, so as not to just lurk. At this very moment, i'm listening to Acid Bath, see 'Dead Girl'. For my other selections, the last songs are Carissa's Wierd 'Blankets Stare' and Aerogramme A Story in White, in its entirety. Y'all would probably enjoy Aerogramme, it sounds a tad 'emo' in the quiet/loud/quiet, clean/distorted/clean kind of way, but they do it well, and they manage to be dreamy and heavy at the same time, as most of my favorite dreamy bands do. Carissa's Wierd is some nice, quiet folksy music, i think they are somehow affiliated with Iron & Wine. |
